The Movement School exists to love and nurture scholars by leading a movement of change in education through academic excellence, character development and preparation for success in life. 

 

We will open our doors in August 2017 to 300 students in Kindergarten-Second Grade. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated educators to join our family for the 2017-2018 school year. Elementary Teachers are responsible for providing superior academic education while supporting the social and emotional development of all students. 

 

What You Need To Know 

  • Creates a positive educational environment for students to learn in 
  • Instructs students for the purpose of improving academic success using North Carolina Teaching Standards 
  • Plans, prepares and delivers instruction that facilitates active learning and addresses the learning needs of all students 
  • Manages students' behavior to provide a safe and optimal learning environment 
  • Advises parents of student progress and achievements 
  • Collaborates with instructional staff to improve student behavior and learning 
  • Uses relevant technology to support instruction 

 

What We Are Looking For 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant field 
  • Experience and mastery with Common Core Standards 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

 

Even Better 

  • Current, valid North Carolina state teaching license
  • 2+ years of primary teaching experience preferred 
  • 1+ years of teaching in a Title I school preferred
