GRADE LEVEL: High School

LOCATION: Elevate High School

STIPEND: See below for stipend amounts for current openings

STATUS: Seasonal fixed term, temporary, benefits in-eligible (does not qualify for benefits outlined in total rewards), in-person position

AVAILABLE COACHING POSITIONS

  • Elevate HS Cheer Director
  • Term: Full time coach (23 weeks total breaks will be included in between transition of sports seasons)
  • Start Date: September 2, 2024
  • End Date: May 9th, 2025
  • Compensation: $2,150.00

  • Assistant HS Boys Basketball Coach
  • Term: Part time assistant (20 weeks total between both seasons)
  • Compensation: $1,400.00
  • Start Date: November 11, 2024
  • End Date: February 15, 2025
  • Compensation: $1,400.00

  • Assistant HS Volleyball Coach
  • Term: Part time assistant for both girls and boys volleyball season
  • Start date: Fall Season August 21, 2024
  • End Date: Fall Season October 25, 2024
  • Start Date: Spring Season February 26, 2025
  • End Date: Spring Season May 9, 2025
  • Compensation: $1800.00 ($900 per season)

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate relentless drive to improve the athletic skills, minds and lives of students

  • Exhibit mastery and enthusiasm for sportsmanship.

  • All coaches must be willing and able to be trained and approved to drive our activity buses.

  • As an athletics coach here at DSST it is your job to ensure scholars receive the best student-athlete experience while abiding DSST’s network mission, core values & vision for our HS sports and academics. Weekly commitment won’t exceed over 11hrs per week including practices and competition. We are actively looking for a moderately experienced cheer coach who is willing to help build a second year cheer program at our campus. A dedicated individual who is willing to stay committed through the many challenges that starting a new program at the HS level may present. You will directly report to the HS athletics director for Elevate campus and work closely with the AD to provide an opportunity for students to experience a full length cheer team season here at DSST Elevate HS. Some small tasks as the head coach that you will be in charge of are: Athletic Director/Coach to student-athlete and parent communication; Team fundraising; practices & competition; transportation to competition logistics; developing practice plans, schedules & development of student athletes; building student-athlete etiquette & culture!

  • As an assistant athletics coach here at DSST your role is to support the head coach to ensure scholars receive the best student-athlete experience while abiding DSST’s network mission, core values & vision for our HS sports and academics. As an assistant coach you will not exceed over 12hrs per week including practices & competition. Some of the daily task that you will be expected to complete are student-athlete communication & culture support. Conducting study hall once a week with your team, eligibility checks and supporting with transportation logistics to and from away games. Assistant coaches report to the school’s athletic director and have opportunities to own or support the lower level (non-varsity) level team here on campus.
