Elementary Dean of StudentsElementary Dean of Students
Elizabeth School District in Elizabeth, Colorado, is seeking an experienced educator to support student behavioral interventions, creating systems to support student and staff behavioral needs, as well as establishing partnerships within the community to provide resources and support for students and staff. Preferred experience and skills include at least three years as a classroom teacher, professional strengths in classroom management, trauma responsive classrooms and intervention systems. This position will report to the elementary school Principals.
SALARY:
$60,000 - $72,000 based on experience 190 days

JOB SUMMARY:
Contribute toward a safe environment for learning, including ensuring that student conduct is maintained and discipline is enforced fairly and consistently
Support classroom teachers with best practices and trauma responsive instruction
Supervise the consistent and fair administration and tracking of student conduct and discipline
Serve as liaison to parents and facilitate parent education and involvement, including reinforcing the need for parents to support the school's policies and practices for student behavior
Facilitate faculty and staff development related to school culture and consistent enforcement of student behavior in conjunction with the principal
Coordinating with all service and community partners to ensure an alignment with academic expectations of a community school in order to improve student success
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Positive experience in taking initiative, assuming accountability and being productive
Strategic problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Experience in collaborating with teams of students, teachers and administrators
Strong interpersonal and student management skills
Maintain the privacy of student records and information
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a classroom teacher
Bachelors Degree required
Masters Degree preferred
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:
Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Teacher's License
