Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania is committed to building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place! We are currently seeking applicants for the following position of Program Coordinator who will be based out of our York office. The Program Coordinator is responsible for organizing and implementing regional Girl Scout events that align with organizational priorities, goals, and outcomes, while creating regional partnerships to maximize program opportunities for girl members.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Actively lead, teach, and/or assist in all assigned Girl Scout, Outdoor Educational, and STEM programs in accordance with GSHPA and GSUSA guidelines, as well as GSHPA curriculum.
  • Responsible for maintaining in inventory of program supplies and ensure that all equipment is in working order.
  • As needed, drives GSHPA event vehicle to community locations and delivers GSHPA specific curriculum programs in accordance with GSHPA and GSUSA guidelines.
  • Maintains high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff by always adhering to the GSUSA Safety Checkpoints.
  • Understands, instructs, and promotes the safe use and care of equipment in all activities, camp property, including proper storage, maintenance, appropriate use by members, and ensures all participants follow the proper Safety Activity Checkpoints. 

Skills and Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Education or related field.
  • Three years experience developing, conducting and/or supervising innovative youth programs and support systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and a willingness to travel throughout the council.
  • Car and valid driver’s license necessary to carry out assignments.
  • Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages.
  • Bilingual preferred.
