Job Summary (2-3 sentences describing job purpose): Instructs students individually and in groups using various teaching methods and technologies. Plans and delivers student instruction, training, and support in the use of technology instruction framed in the district adopted technology standards using the provided Digital Scope and Sequence. The employee creates a safe and innovative learning environment that supports student acquisition of technology knowledge and skills with district-adopted software.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: List, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential duties/tasks performed by the position. This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required.
Job Duty/Resp. 1:Plans and teaches classes aligned to the MNPS Digital Scope and Sequence to support students in the acquisition of digital literacies including industry technology skills computer skills, and digital citizenship.
Job Duty/Resp. 2:Plans daily lessons to meet the needs of all students. Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Job Duty/Resp. 3:Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and assignments. Communicates those objectives to students.
Job Duty/Resp. 4:Establishes and enforces rules of behavior and procedures for maintaining order in their classroom.
Job Duty/Resp. 5:Designs and implements assessments that measure progress towards academic standards and identifies gaps in learning. Uses assessment data to refine curriculum and adjust instructional practices.
Job Duty/Resp. 6:Prepares materials both in class and online for student assignments. Creates a positive achievement-oriented learning environment.
Job Duty/Resp. 7:Develops lab / learning space policies and procedures in collaboration with Learning Technology and school leadership team. Support and assist in implementing whole school technology integration.
Job Duty/Resp. 8:Participates in ongoing professional development activities.

Education and Experience Requirements
Education (training/degree): Required minimum: Bachelors’ degree in education Preferred: Master’s

Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 years successful classroom teaching experience preferred, instructional technology degree or certification preferred, demonstrated ability to integrate technology.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required: Instructional Technology Training Certificate (ex. Microsoft Innovative Educator, Google for Education Certification, Apple Distinguished Educator) or ability to demonstrate skills and knowledge of current technology integration in the classroom with district approved software.

Skills Required: Advanced in Microsoft 365 (Sway, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Proficient in writing and debugging code and using a code-learning program (ex. Scratch), Proficient in monitoring students’ online activities and creating a safe and productive environment for online learning.
