POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a talented and committed educator to serve as the Music Teacher for KIPP West Philadelphia Elementary Academy. We have the unique opportunity to work in partnership with the Philadelphia Orchestra. KIPP West Philadelphia Elementary Academy is committed to creating and supporting a quality music education that will complement our rigorous academic program. We seek to establish a strings program where our students have the motivation to practice, the desire to work as a team, and the discipline for lifelong musicianship. We truly believe the skills gained through music education are transferable to our students’ pursuit of achievement in academics and in life. We are committed to providing our music teacher with the resources needed to have a successful orchestra.
