These entrepreneurial parents are excited to dive into homeschooling this year! They travel often, particularly to Florida, Los Angeles, and Montana, and look forward to adding flexibility into their children’s education and schedule to adventure together as a family. They deeply value instilling creativity and the outdoors into their children’s learning environment. Their 6-year-old will be entering kindergarten and will benefit from focusing on reading development, while their 9-year-old is interested in everything and is building his math skills by means of the Beast Academy. The family is seeking a creative educator who can incorporate their adventures into their children’s homeschooling!
This position is ideal for an educator who is skilled at providing consistency and structure in an on-the-go environment, both at home and while traveling! A candidate who is energetic, passionate about creative learning approaches and outdoor education, and utilizing their student’s interests to drive the day-to-day educational activities will thrive in this role. As the family travels often, flexibility will be important, along with a sense of adventure. The family has a medium-sized, friendly dog, so a candidate who is dog friendly will be important as well! A Bachelor’s degree or higher in an education-related field is preferred, and Spanish knowledge will be a big plus. Above all, the family is eager to find an educator who is excited to become a part of their inclusive, dynamic team and tailor one-on-one education for their children to grow and thrive.
This is a full-time live-in or live-out position guaranteeing 40+ hours per week with the general schedule falling on Mondays through Fridays during normal school hours. Flexibility for travel and occasional evenings will be asked and appreciated. Live-in accommodations include a private in-law suite; private accommodations will always be provided while traveling. The family is offering $40-$50+/hour DOE in addition to relocation assistance, assistance with healthcare, PTO, and sick days. Driving will be required for this role and a vehicle will be provided while on duty. The position will begin as soon as the family finds the perfect fit!
This position is open to all Adventure Nannies candidates who are legally able to work in the US, possess a valid driver’s license and passport, and have applicable teaching experience in a classroom or homeschool environment.
