These dual-career parents currently work from home due to COVID but plan on returning to in-person work with plenty of travel in the mix once it is safe to do so. They deeply value ensuring their children are in a secure, loving environment and are passionate about continuing exploration in child development! Their 3-year-old is energetic and loves cooking and serving pretend meals in his play kitchen, while his older sister is an avid reader with a penchant for sci-fi fantasy stories. She is attending school online for the time being, but next year the family hopes they’ll be back in in-person school (Pre-K and 4th grade). The family has a TV-free home and love the outdoors, always looking forward to their next backpacking trip! They strive to raise their children to treat all people with respect and make sure to provide a professional, appreciative work environment for their staff (which includes a hybrid chef and housekeeper). They are seeking a nanny/family assistant who is eager to work together as a fluid team to provide an enriching, supportive environment for their children for years to come.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about educationally-focused care and continuing exploration in child development! As these devoted parents are team-oriented and excited to work in tandem with their caregiver, a collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills is key. A degree or background in an early childhood education-related field is a huge plus, and the family is happy to discuss opportunities for continued education. While the children’s routine and developmental approach will be the main focus of this role, the family hopes to work with a candidate with an organized, all-hands-on-deck spirit who’s ready to be an extra support beam around the home as time allows. Family assisting-related tasks would include general tidying, grocery shopping and meal planning, collaborating with the family’s chef and housekeeper and jumping in if needed (everyone works together in this home!), managing the family’s calendar, scheduling and maintaining appointments, and more. The family hopes to find a candidate who is eager to grow in their next role for years to come!

The schedule consists of 40-50 hours per week with typical working hours falling between 8am-6pm Mondays through Fridays for the school year. The family is offering $30-$35/hour in addition to benefits such as a healthcare stipend, PTO, and relocation assistance based on candidate need. Driving is required for this role, and the family will be happy to discuss contributions to car insurance/gas mileage if using your own car.
