This down-to-earth-family is open minded with a love for both learning and adventures. Whenever possible they look forward to splitting their time between Mill Valley and beautiful Jackson, WY, as well as France when it is safe to do so as they have family ties there! From hiking to kayaking to traveling, this family, along with their sweet, senior beagle, loves to get outdoors and explore the world. These respectful parents live to give their children space and opportunity to explore their own interests (from landscape photography to camping and natural exploration). The kids, aged 10 and 8 years old, will resume remote learning in the new year with the potential to transition to in-person classes 2 days per week. Their 2nd grader is a committed student who could use some extra support in the language arts (reading, writing, spelling, and phonics) and their 5th grader is learning beyond his grade level, especially in math. An educator who can provide extra support and instruction in these areas will be welcomed! Their parents are eager to provide some normalcy for the remainder of their children’s school year, which starts up again on January 4th, by bringing on a private educator who can manage the children’s distance learning and foster a space for them to learn at their own pace.
This position is ideal for an educator who is fulfilled in a role where they can inspire young learners and make a positive impact on their learning experience! A candidate who can bring their creativity to the role, focus on bringing distance learning to life, as well as promoting outdoor education and exploration will thrive in this position. The educator must be comfortable implementing provided curriculum as well as supplementing, supporting, and inspiring educational and creative pursuits outside of the provided curriculum. The ideal candidate is travel-ready, warm, engaging, high energy, and excited to inspire these two students!
This position is open to all Adventure Nannies candidates who are legally able to work in the US, and possess a valid driver’s license and passport. This family is happy to consider relocation candidates for this position. Out of respect for the privacy of the families we work with, we cannot provide any additional information about this position other than what has already been provided in the job description.
