The ASES Teacher/Instructor will work directly with a group of 60-80 students, providing homework assistance, academic support and enrichment activities after school on site at KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy. Program leaders’ ability to establish authority through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience, is essential to success. Must be able to commit to working throughout the entire school year.

KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy (Grades 5-8) is a public charter middle school located in the Western Addition. SF Bay is dedicated to providing its students with the knowledge, skills, and character traits needed to succeed in top-quality high schools, colleges, and in the competitive world beyond.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
Ability to navigate office and school campuses, and hold meetings in different spaces. Ability to stand and walk around for extended periods of time. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting/carrying of equipment 1-20 lbs.
Stress of deadlines and normal work standards, ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives, work with interruptions, concentrate for long periods of time, read, calculate, perform routine math problems, memorize and recall objects and people.
Office, classroom, and large outdoor space environments subject to constant interruptions and distractions. In emergency context (e.g., pandemic) work may be conducted virtually fully or partially for extended periods of time or longer, and the expectation is that the individual will establish a productive, remote work environment (e.g., ability to stay connected through different technology means). It may require remote work as current public health guidelines warrant.
Part time, non-exempt. Approximately 12-19 hours/week, Monday through Friday from 3:00PM to 6:00PM.
