Boulder High School: Founded in 1875 as part of the University of Colorado, Boulder High is the oldest established high school in Colorado. Students regularly access the Universityof Colorado, the Conference of World Affairs and cultural community activities. Boulder High is an advanced placement focus school, with one of the most comprehensive programs in the state, offering 30 advanced placement courses.

A BVSD teacher demonstrates a strong knowledge of the curriculum and content area while positively impacting student achievement through innovative instructional strategies and effectively managing the learning environment.

-Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or have licensure application in process with appropriate endorsement in: Physical Education (must upload license or in process documentation to application)
-Completed and submitted BVSD online application

-Must be able to work in a teamed P.E. situation
-Physically able to demonstrate all physical aspects of the BVSD curriculum and able to do so on a daily basis
-Physically able to setup and breakdown all/any PE units
-Ability to create formative and summative assessments in Physical Education

Salary Information:
-Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.

-Regular teachers requesting transfers to less than their current assignment would assume the contracted FTE of the accepted position.

-Applications are reviewed to match candidates with position qualifications, with a limited number selected for interviews. For the final selection, employment is contingent upon successful completion of the post-offer screening process, including a background check and possible medical examination.
