Secondary Social Studies Teacher

Description:

27J Online Middle School, a 27J school located in Brighton, CO,  is seeking a Social Studies teacher to inspire student love and ownership of learning.  This is a full-time, or 1.0 FTE position with benefits.

Required Qualifications:

1. A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License.
2. Colorado Department of Education “In Field” by CDE endorsement or qualifications to teach the posted subject area.
3. Additional endorsements, like English Language Arts, etc., are encouraged.
4. The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
5. The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
6. The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).  
7. A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
