High School Biology Teacher

OVERVIEW:
The John Dickinson High School is currently seeking energetic and motivated candidates eligible for or in possession of Science certification.
Teacher responsible for developing and delivering instruction in both inclusive and self-contained classroom settings and be willing to collaborate daily with other educators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach Biology to students in grades 9-12
• Able to work with students in a secondary school placement
• Works cooperatively with all staff and parents
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
• Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
• Strives to implement by instruction and action the district's mission statement.
• Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation
• Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Initial, Continuing or Advanced Delaware Advanced Licensure
• Certified in Core Content
