There are currently 12 KIPP schools in the Bay Area educating 5,200 students in East Palo Alto, Oakland, San Francisco, San Lorenzo, San Jose, and Redwood City. In the fall of 2018, KIPP Bay Area Schools plans to open a new high school in East San Jose and a new elementary school in the Bayview Hunter's Point.


Position Overview

Under the direction of the Education Specialist or other certificated employee, the Paraeducator will primarily assist by performing a variety of behavior and social skill support duties to individual or small groups of students within the after school program. These duties shall be designed to complement the after school program to maximize learning opportunities for the inclusion student. The Paraeducator will also assist in the establishment and implementation of appropriate school-wide behavior and assist students to access all aspects of the educational environment of the school and the community. This position will work at our new school in East Palo Alto, KIPP Valiant Community Prep or at our Redwood City school, KIPP Excelencia Community Prep.
