TITLE: Departmental Clerk I

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide support to Curriculum and Instruction Department by assisting with records maintenance, filing, compliance reporting and other designated tasks.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9-month year. Part-time 25 hrs./wk. Classified Compensation Plan - Level 1 (Range $11.03 to $13.24) Based on Experience and Education

REPORTS TO: Director of Teaching and Learning

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
• Provide general support for the Curriculum and Instruction Department
• General clerical duties, including telephone use
• Filing and organization of documents
• Assist with the maintenance of all central office records
• Assist with training events/ setup
• Assist with Synergy/IEP Pro queries for special education director and department chairs
• Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and software applications.
• Knowledge of report preparation and records management principles.
• Skill in operating office equipment and computer hardware and software.
• Skill in customer service practices.
• Skill in communicating both orally and in writing.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to be confidential

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma and two (2) years office experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge and skills. Bilingual preferred. Able to perform the following physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation: critical sensory requirements include general vision, corrected to 20/20, hear or listen in the normal range (corrected) and speak and give directions clearly. Able to walk, sit, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, lift (exerting force up to 50 pounds).
