Overview
The Teaching Assistant is entrusted with advancing the mission of Promesa Academy by working alongside lead teachers to create rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum; build a joyful, loving, and nurturing environment in their classrooms; spend time thoughtfully and intentionally creating authentic and engaging learning experiences for students; and collaborating with content-level and grade-level teams to continue to improve instruction. At Promesa, our teaching assistants will have the unique opportunity to work under the mentorship of all our subject-expert teachers. Teaching assistants will also be provided with dedicated coaches to ensure that they have the opportunity to grow within the organization. Promesa Academy is in its planning year and this position presents the opportunity to be an active participant in helping to shape the vision for our school.
