This active family is passionate about fostering community and are excited to bring in an educator who will embrace this environment while bringing their educational expertise to their home. Their boys are energetic and curious and love activities from arts and crafts to reading to swimming. Currently, their kindergartner attends public school 10 days per month and their 4-year-old attends a Montessori school. Their family of six also includes their 1.5-year-old and newborn baby! This large, loving family is eager to find an educator for their two oldest who can supplement and inspire educational exploration outside of traditional class time who has an all-hands-on-deck spirit.
This position is ideal for a private educator who is enthusiastic, proactive, playful and communicative. The family lives in a beautiful, rural area of Kauai, so a candidate who is excited to adapt to quiet island life (with adventures just outside the front door!) will fit in seamlessly. An educational background, whether in teaching or tutoring, is important to the family. This role is designed for an educator who is equally excited about implementing curriculum and creating hands-on learning opportunities. Collaboration with the parents and their two nannies will be encouraged and welcomed in this tight-knit environment. Adventure ready candidates who can go with the flow will be a great fit for this role!
This is a full-time, live-out position with nearby private and separate housing provided and 40 guaranteed hours per week. The general schedule will fall on Mondays through Fridays, and the candidate will work with the family to determine hours once a school schedule is finalized. Flexibility for travel when it becomes safe to do so will be expected and appreciated. The family is offering $30-35+/hr DOE, as well as relocation assistance, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, PTO and matching 401k contributions. They hope to hire as soon as they find the perfect fit!
This position is open to all Adventure Nannies candidates who are legally able to work in the US, possess a valid driver’s license and passport, and have experience teaching in a classroom, homeschool, or tutoring environment.
