Position Purpose
You are someone who is passionate about working with children and excited about an opportunity to work in a school that is committed to love, equity, and innovation. As a Teacher Resident (TR), you will have the unique opportunity to participate in a year-long residency under the guidance of an experienced, innovative, and highly-qualified Mentor Teacher (MT). Not only will you observe and learn from your Mentor Teacher, you will also have the opportunity to earn a teaching certification in an area of your choice from the ESC-20 Teacher Orientation and Preparation Program (TOPP).
Please note that you MUST be accepted into the TOPP program to be hired as a teaching resident with Promesa Academy. You will receive a salary of $37,000 and Promesa will cover the cost of the one-year TOPP teaching resident program. You can learn more about and apply for the TOPP program here.
