The position is to support data discussions through the University of Virginia (UVA) and Data Driven Instruction (DDI) work moving forward on the strategic plan with the schools that have low flexibility. The position will work with schools and the networks to provide professional learning and support as it relates to instructional data.
-Support implementation of data driven instruction as part of the school improvement in alignment with the University of Virginia’s Partnership for Leaders in Education.
-Support the work of educators to improve their effectiveness at closing the achievement gap and improving outcomes for students across the district.
-Encourage, coach, and monitor data driven instruction models in collaboration with the Principal.
-Support the network teams to connect with schools.
-Visit every applicable school regularly to observe and monitor data driven instruction.
-Identify best practices to increase data driven instruction for teachers.
-Meet and plan with teachers to promote data driven instruction.
-Attend and or plan professional development activities at applicable schools.
-Work with district supervisors and school improvement teams to assist in accomplishing goals, objectives, and activities indicated on School Improvement Plan (SIP).
-Work with content areas and instructional practices to research and develop related standards based classroom assessments and communicate information aligned to the strategic plan.
-Builds internal capacity of school personnel and school leadership teams to become effective users of data.
-Assist school with analyzing summative school data and plan for improvement using strengths and opportunities identified through in building support.
-Assist teachers and administrators with using formative assessment data in classroom instruction.
-Collect SIP action plans from each applicable school.
-Bachelor's degree with a major pertinent to the position requirements
-Minimum of three years of experience working with student data analysis
-Communicate (read, write and speak) in English
-Completed and submitted BVSD online application
-Proficient in the use of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc) and other applications appropriate to the job.
-Understanding of practices and protocols used to support Data Driven Instruction (DDI)
