English/Science Teachers (Posting #254-23) -- Cherry Hill Campus

Description:

The Department of Children and Families (DCF), Office of Education, has an immediate need for Teachers at the Cherry Hill Campus in one (1) or more of the following subject matters: 

* Teacher of English

* Teacher of Science

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Educational Programs or Assistant Supervisor of Educational Programs, Teachers plan, execute and evaluate the lessons and educational experiences of the assigned pupils, class or classes; performing these duties exercising independent judgment and with a comprehensive knowledge of department rules, regulations and policies; does related work as required. Positions are located in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Please note that schools within OOE have a 12-month school year.

SPECIAL NOTE: Experience teaching special needs and/or at-risk students is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Position requires possession of a valid standard teacher certification or valid Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) issued by the NJ Department of Education in one (1) or more of the following secondary subject content areas:

* Teacher of English

* Teacher of Science

Ability to physically lift, move, and position students as needed.

LICENSE: Possession of valid Standard Certificate issued by the State Board of Examiners of the New Jersey Department of Education with an endorsement in subject area(s) determined appropriate by the Appointing Authority.

LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

SALARY: $58,031.09 - $94,376.42 commensurate with certificate and experience.
