Job Title: Elizabeth Middle School Academic Advisor
Reports to School Principal
Salary: $65,000 - $72,500 190 Days
Job Summary: The Middle School Academic Advisor is a key support role within our educational team, dedicated to fostering a supportive and productive learning environment for students in grades 6-8. This position involves a blend of academic duties, behavioral support, assessment coordination, and collaboration with school administration to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities:
Academic Duties:
Provide academic counseling to students on course selection, study habits, and educational pathways.
Assist in monitoring student progress and provide interventions as necessary.
Facilitate academic workshops and informational sessions for students and parents.
Student Behavior:
Address student behavioral issues by implementing preventative strategies and interventions.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop behavioral plans for students needing additional support.
Promote a positive school culture that encourages respect, responsibility, and resilience.
Assessments:
Coordinate and oversee the administration of standardized tests and other assessments.
Provide feedback to students and parents on assessment results and implications for academic progress.
Supporting School Administration:
Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures.
Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
Serve as a liaison between students, parents, teachers, and the school administration.
Counseling Support Duties:
Offer emotional support and guidance to students facing personal challenges.
Refer students to external resources and services when necessary.

Required Qualifications:
Appropriate Colorado Teaching or Admin License or ability to attain license
Bachelor’s degree in Education, School Administration, Counseling, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in academic advising, counseling, or teaching at the middle school level.
Strong understanding of adolescent development and middle school curriculum.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
