OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Human Capital Talent Specialist to join our team. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Human Capital Talent Specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring every school has the exceptional educators and leaders it needs to thrive. You will manage pipelines, advise candidates, partner with school leaders, and drive strategic recruitment initiatives that directly strengthen our mission and impact.
Candidate Pipeline & School Portfolio Management
> Manage educator pipelines, including teachers, counselors, and other roles as determined by organizational priorities, to ensure timely, high-quality staffing outcomes.
> Oversee a portfolio of schools, serving as a trusted partner for principals, hiring leads, and department chairs advising on staffing needs, candidate quality and selection processes.
>Proactively engage with assigned schools to understand the evolving talent landscape, anticipate vacancies, and provide solutions year-round.
> Provide guidance and pathways for classified staff and substitute teachers aspiring to transition into teaching roles.
> Track and analyze talent metrics across your school portfolio, delivering timely updates and insights to enable strong hiring decisions.
> Ensure candidate eligibility by verifying credential status, supporting alternative and permit pathways, and collaborating with Human Resources on compliance.
> Recruit for specialized and hard-to-fill positions at priority schools.
> Conduct regular data analysis to monitor pipeline health, hiring progress, and key initiatives.
> Partner with the Education team to gather feedback on new hires’ performance and evolving school needs.
> Partner with Human Resources to ensure smooth onboarding, monitor credentialing compliance, and support early-career retention through proactive outreach and data review.
Strategy Development
> Analyze recruitment and staffing data, market trends, and historical fill rates to inform short and long-term strategies for growing and diversifying the educator pipeline.
> Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices that increase efficiency and equity in hiring.
> Collaborate with departmental and organizational leaders to ensure recruitment strategies align with broader goals and priorities.
Outreach & Targeted Recruitment (in support of the Recruitment Manager)
> Strengthen partnerships with teacher preparation programs, building lasting relationships with faculty, advisors, and program coordinators to build talent pipelines aligned to Green Dot’s needs.
> Represent the organization at education fairs, conferences, and networking events to promote opportunities and recruit top talent.
> Work with Human Capital leadership to design and execute targeted campaigns that attract experienced educators and identify emerging school leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS
As an ideal candidate, you will bring:
> Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
> Experience: Proven track record in talent acquisition; experience recruiting educators or education-sector professionals strongly preferred.
> Expertise: Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies and best practices for certificated employees, including sourcing, interviewing, credentialing pathways, and selection methods.
> Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
> Strategic mindset: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recruitment strategies.
> Collaboration & independence: Demonstrated ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
> Commitment to equity: Passion for education and dedication to fostering a diverse, inclusive workforce that reflects and serves our communities.
> Compliance: Ability to pass a TB test and background check at the time of offer.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
> Work Hours: This position requires consistent attendance during scheduled hours, as flexibility is limited by classroom or operational requirements.
> Physical Requirements: The position may require certain physical abilities, such as interacting with prospective employees, traveling across Los Angeles County, walking or standing for long periods or moving through various parts of the school.
> Social Requirements: The position requires extensive interaction with colleagues and members of the public.
> On-Site Presence: This role requires regular, in-person attendance. Potential for remote work opportunities (occasional or recurring).
> Breaks: Breaks are structured within the workday and must align with operational needs. Extended or frequent breaks may not be feasible in this setting.

COMPENSATION
The starting annual salary range for this position is $71,000 - $78,000. To allow for salary progression over time, offers at the top of the range are rare. Individual education and experience will be considered when issuing offers.
