OPPORTUNITYThe Student Enrollment Coordinators, under the guidance of the Director of Enrollment and Senior Manager of Enrollment, will execute strategic recruitment plans to ensure that schools meet their annual enrollment goals. This position is responsible for achieving a 3:1 application ratio (three applications for every one open seat) through consistent outreach, relationship-building, and high-quality customer service to prospective families. The Coordinator spends approximately 70% of their time conducting in-person and community-based outreach, including canvassing, attending events, and cultivating partnerships with schools and local organizations. The remaining time focuses on supporting families through the application process, managing data, and collaborating with school staff to ensure a seamless enrollment experience.
We are seeking two (2) dynamic Student Enrollment Coordinator to drive student recruitment by building strong relationships with prospective families, feeder schools, and community partners. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and is passionate about connecting families to our high-quality charter school education.
This role requires flexibility, including regular evening and weekend work, and occasional work during holidays and school vacation periods, to ensure strong visibility within the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
> Develop and implement annual student recruitment plans for an assigned group of schools aligned with student enrollment goals
> Conduct daily outreach efforts, including canvassing, door-to-door engagement, tabling in high-traffic areas and phone outreach to generate interest and drive applications
> Achieve the 3:1 applications-to-seats ratio by following up with student leads and guiding them through the customer journey process until the point of school hand-off
>Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, faith-based groups, and partner schools
> Identify and implement innovative strategies to overcome enrollment barriers and strengthen feeder school pipelines
> Conduct follow-up calls, texts, home visits and ensure timely documentation of leads, engagement, and conversion outcomes
> Lead or support school tours, information sessions, and enrollment events and other recruitment events
>Provide weekly updates on enrollment progress, application ratios, and conversion trends
> Develop and regularly update community asset maps to identify high-impact outreach opportunities
> Effectively communicate, present and build relationships with school leaders and staff, parents, students, and community organizations
> Assist schools in managing and converting SchoolMint leads through timely, accurate follow-up
> Analyze enrollment data and trends to inform outreach strategies and decisions
> Collect and document feedback from families and community members to assess awareness and perceptions of Green Dot schools
> Gather and use community feedback to shape recruitment tactics and materials
> Produce and share recruitment-focused content on social media that highlights school culture and student voices
> Support additional enrollment-related projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
As an ideal candidate, you
> have a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or commensurate work experience (required)
> have 2+ years of work experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
> are experienced in community outreach, recruitment, education, customer service, or a related field
> have strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build relationships with school staff, parents, students, and community members
> are experienced in diverse, inclusive environments with a strong focus on equity and access
> are competent in leveraging data to inform decisions, track progress, and refine strategies
> are a quick learner who can adapt, solve problems creatively, and work well with limited direction
> are skilled at managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines and achieve goals
> are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
> are willing to work flexible hours, including regular evening and weekend shifts; occasional work during holidays and school vacation periods is required
> have bilingual proficiency in Spanish (preferred)
> have experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, experience with SchoolMint is a plus
> have reliable transportation in order to travel to multiple sites
> will be able to occasionally move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation
> are dependable, humble, have a sense of humor and a rock-solid commitment to Green Dot’s mission and the communities we serve
> will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer
JOB REQUIREMENTS
> Work Hours: This position requires consistent attendance during scheduled hours, as flexibility is limited by classroom or operational requirements.
> Physical Requirements: The position may require certain physical abilities, such as interacting with prospective families, traveling across Los Angeles County, walking or standing for long periods or moving through various parts of the school.
> Social Requirements: The position requires extensive interaction with students, colleagues, and members of the public.
> On-Site Presence: This role requires regular, in-person attendance to meet the needs of students, staff, and the school environment. Remote work/telecommuting is generally not an option.

COMPENSATION
The starting hourly rate range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00+, based on experience. Please note that candidates who are new to their role or newly promoted can expect offers between the minimum and the mid-point of the range. To allow for salary progression over time, offers at the top of the range are rare. Individual education and experience will be considered when issuing offers.
