Saints Peter and Paul Catholic STEM School is seeking a Part-Time (with possibility of becoming full-time) Junior High Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. Qualified candidates must be practicing Catholics who joyfully witness to the faith and are committed to forming young disciples of Jesus Christ through academic excellence and virtue.

Our Junior High Math Teacher plays a vital role in forming students intellectually and spiritually during these pivotal years. The teacher will cultivate logical reasoning, precision, perseverance, and wonder in the study of mathematics, helping students recognize the order and beauty of God’s creation reflected in mathematical truth. Position Responsibilities
The Junior High Math Teacher will:
Teach junior high mathematics (e.g., Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and/or related middle school math courses) in alignment with Archdiocese of Denver standards
Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous instruction that develops conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills
Integrate the Catholic intellectual tradition by fostering a love for truth, order, and disciplined thinking
Use data-informed instruction and assessment to support student growth
Maintain a structured, respectful classroom environment rooted in charity and high expectations
Collaborate with fellow faculty members to support interdisciplinary STEM initiatives
Communicate effectively and consistently with students, parents, and administrators
Participate fully in the spiritual life of the school community, including prayer, liturgies, and faith formation opportunities

Requirements
Qualifications

Candidates must:
Be a Catholic in good standing who actively practices the faith
Support and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church in both word and example
Hold a valid Colorado teaching license or equivalent certification (or be willing to complete an Archdiocesan teacher formation program)
Have a strong background in mathematics (degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education with a math concentration, or related field preferred)
Demonstrate content knowledge in middle school and introductory high school mathematics
Be able to teach algebraic reasoning, proportional relationships, functions, and foundational geometry concepts with clarity and precision
Exhibit strong classroom management skills rooted in virtue and respect
Be a collaborative team member who contributes positively to faculty culture
