Rate of Pay: $55-64 per hour W2 (depending on experience)
Maximum 20 hours a Week
Will serve students in the home; Preschool-Middle School

Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field
Moderate to Severe services Credential issued by the California Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC)
Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and families.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
Meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
Develop individualized academic goals
Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning
Create a positive and inclusive environment for students
Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
Experience working with students with special needs in a classroom setting
Knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special education needs
Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
Requirements
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in the educational field
Special Education Teaching credential issued by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC)Moderate to Severe Services Credential required
Duties
Assess students’ skills and determine their educational needs
Adapt general lessons to meet students’ needs
Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
Plan activities that are specific to each student’s abilities
Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one
Case management - Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress
Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students’ progress and goals
Discuss students’ progress with parents, other teachers, counselors, and administrators
Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade and from school to life outside of school
