The Role

Pre-K Teachers combine the ability to motivate, educate, and develop academic and character skills as they lead our Pre-K students. Teachers at Meeting Street Schools have a growth mindset and are afforded multiple professional development opportunities throughout the year, including collaborative planning sessions, school-wide targeted professional development, team analysis of performance data, and other personalized opportunities for teachers to grow.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support outstanding academic achievement and student character development

  • Create a positive, achievement-oriented, and structured learning environment that excites and invests in students as they reach their full potential

  • Build a strong classroom community and relationships with families

  • Support students through direct, small-group, and differentiated instruction

  • Creates innovative and standards-aligned lesson plans

  • Assesses student learning consistently and adjusts instruction to meet individual student needs

  • Commits to constant professional and personal growth through reflection, feedback, and collaboration

  • Models MSS’ Path to Success skills and supports the development of those skills in students and peers

  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Educational Background & Work Experience

  • Active or in-process teaching certification preferred

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 2+ years of experience leading a classroom

This role starts on July 15th. The salary for the Pre-K Teacher starts at $65,282 and is commensurate with experience. Additionally, Meeting Street Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to:
