Title: Elementary - Immersion Teacher (English)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-based curricula in English Language Arts and Social Studies.
• Create instructional resources and engage in co-lesson planning with partner teachers.
• Drive student achievement through creative lesson plans and organized classroom procedures.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Evaluate student progress regularly and maintain accurate records.
• Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Participate in professional development activities and collaborate within Professional Learning Communities (PLC).
• Build strong, positive relationships with the diverse community of students and their families.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Delaware Teaching License and Certification in Elementary Education (K-6) with a focus on Spanish, in accordance with 14 Del. C. § 1531.
• 1-2 years of teaching experience at the elementary level, preferably in a language immersion or bilingual program.
• TESOL- Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages or Bilingual (Spanish)

Required Certificate(s):

• Initial, Continuing or Advanced Delaware Licensure
• Certified in K-6
