The Role

The Recruiting Coordinator serves as the front door to our schools - the first person most candidates will meet on their applicant journey with us, the first touchpoint they have with our mission and our values. This role will embody our mission and values in every interaction, explaining to candidates why Meeting Street Schools is challenging the status quo of education in South Carolina. Whether speaking with a candidate on the phone or engaging potential talent online, this person ensures that every experience reflects the warmth, passion, and high expectations that define our culture.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about people, operational excellence, and helping connect exceptional talent with meaningful work.
Core Responsibilities
Review resumes and conduct initial interviews for teaching candidates to identify mission-aligned educators who will drive strong outcomes for students and communities
Support recruitment efforts for all roles through scheduling, logistics coordination, and interview preparation
Build strong relationships with candidates through timely communication, consistent follow-up, and an engaging recruitment experience that reflects the values and mission of Meeting Street Schools
Maintain accurate data and documentation within the applicant tracking and recruitment systems
Plan and execute local and national recruitment events, campus visits, and talent engagement opportunities that strengthen the Teaching Fellows and teacher pipeline
Lead sourcing efforts through platforms such as Handshake and LinkedIn to build a high-quality candidate pipeline for all positions while meeting weekly outreach goals
Support recruitment marketing efforts through outreach campaigns and candidate engagement initiatives
Develop and maintain databases of targeted student organizations, campus partners, and prospective candidates to strengthen college campus recruitment efforts
Qualifications:
A commitment to the mission and values of Meeting Street Schools and an unwavering belief that all students can and will succeed
A bachelor's degree is required
Exceptional communication skills (warm, confident, and professional both on the phone and in writing).
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service or relationship management experiences
Strong sense of professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through
Proficiency with Google Workspace and comfort learning new systems and platforms
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $52,00-$62,000 annually, and is commensurate with experience. Meeting Street Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
