What You'll Do
• Provide one-on-one or small-ratio support to children and young adults with disabilities, autism, developmental delays, or behavioral needs
• Implement individualized academic, behavioral, communication, social, and daily living programs under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support academic, behavioral, emotional, communication, social, and daily living skill development
• Collect data on treatment goals, ABA program targets, and IEP-related objectives
• Support clients in developing communication, social interaction, problem-solving, self-care, and adaptive skills
• Implement behavior support strategies and replacement-skill programs under clinical supervision
• Support feeding-related, toileting, transition, and daily living programs when included in the client's treatment plan and under appropriate supervision
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and team members regarding session activities, progress, and client needs under the direction of the supervising clinical team
• Prepare materials, reinforcers, activity schedules, and session documentation
• Collaborate with BCBAs, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, school teams, and other providers
• Participate in required supervision, training, and team meetings
• Help maintain a positive, safe, organized, and supportive therapy environment

Requirements
• No prior RBT certification is required at hire. Peak Potential Therapy provides support with RBT training.
• Must be able to obtain RBT certification and CPR certification within 30 days of hire
• Employment is contingent upon completion of required pre-employment screenings, including BCI/FBI background checks, as required for work with children and in accordance with applicable law
• Must be willing and able, with training and supervision, to support clients who may engage in challenging behaviors, including aggression, tantrums, self-injury, toileting needs, and other behavior-support needs
• Must be able to assist with client safety, transitions, and mobility needs, which may include lifting or physically assisting children in accordance with safety protocols and applicable accommodations
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with children, individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, education, childcare, therapy, or behavioral health
• RBT certification preferred, but not required
• Two years of college coursework preferred, but not required
Work Schedule & Locations
• Multiple shifts available between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Full-time and part-time schedules available
• Most services are provided at our clinic locations in Sagamore Hills/Northfield and Norton, Ohio
• Some services may be provided in clients' homes, schools, or community settings throughout the greater Cleveland-Akron area
