Description:

About Immunai:
Immunai is an AI-driven platform company focused on improving drug discovery and development by decoding the human immune system.
We combine large-scale single cell immune data, advanced machine learning, and strong engineering to help pharmaceutical and research partners make better, more informed decisions throughout the drug development process.
Our long-term goal is to reduce drug development failure rates and help more effective medicines reach patients. We’re building this platform thoughtfully and collaboratively, bringing together expertise across biology, AI, engineering, and business.
Immunai is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
About the role:
As a Principal Computational Biologist, you will join a fast-moving, highly visible research team at the intersection of AI, immunology, and drug development that is working to transform the way therapies are discovered, developed, and delivered.
You will design and deploy novel analytical frameworks, AI-enabled scientific workflows, and computational strategies. Your work will unlock the full potential of Immunai's platform and unique data assets to tackle the most challenging problems in translational medicine.
This role is ideal for someone who loves operating at the frontier—combining deep biological intuition, computational creativity, and emerging AI capabilities to generate insights that can influence clinical development decisions and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid model)
What will you do?
Design and deploy innovative, state-of-the-art analytic approaches, including computational pipelines and agentic workflows, that improve outcomes for industry partnerships.
Standardize and operationalize reusable approaches that can be broadly adopted across projects to improve scalability, reproducibility, and scientific consistency.
Leverage agentic workflows to amplify the team’s analytical speed, creativity, and automation, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Establish blueprints for platform innovation and drive implementation with R&D cross-functional stakeholders.

8+ years relevant experience including at least 3+ years developing translational solutions in a biomedical industry setting
Creative and innovative mindset - Problem solver with demonstrated track record of pushing scientific and technical boundaries
AI-first, no-code mindset, preferably with experience designing and implementing agentic workflows with appropriate human-in-the-loop checkpoints
Hands-on experience with machine learning methodologies and the ability to adapt, utilize and extend internal modeling frameworks
Demonstrated experience translating technical work to clear, high-impact outcomes
Expertise in distilling multi-faceted analyses into concrete conclusions with effective data visualizations and presentations
Desired personal traits:
You have superior skills and experience, and constantly strive to be world-class in what you do
You are not afraid to break things because you know how to rebuild it better
