Lower School Science Teacher (Temporary)

Description:

Abraham Joshua Heschel School is currently seeking a temporary Science Teacher to join the Lower School team. 

This position will teach science classes for students in grades 1-5. 

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s strongly preferred) in Science, Education, or a related field, as well as experience teaching students in grades 1-5. Candidates should have enthusiasm for science education as well as strong classroom management and communication skills. 

Responsibilities include 

Leading daily science lessons for grades 1-5 in the Science Lab

Collaborating with the Lower School Assistant Head in following the Science Curriculum scope per grade

Collaborating with other subject specialists

Coverage of informal times of day (lunch, recess, etc.)

The full-time equivalent annual salary range is $70,000 - $90,000, depending on years of experience.
