Full-Time Travel School Teacher | Eagle Rock, Los Angeles

Archer Travel is looking for a real-world travel professional who loves teaching to help us shape the next generation of travelers.

Our new travel school is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Travel School Teacher to join our headquarters team in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles.

This is not a traditional teaching position.

We are specifically looking for someone with professional, real-world experience as a travel agent/advisor. You should understand how the travel industry works and be able to bring that experience into the classroom.

Our students will learn about travel planning, destinations, cultures, geography, transportation, hotels, itineraries, budgeting, customer service, and the many practical skills involved in becoming a knowledgeable and confident traveler.

What You'll Do

• Teach engaging, real-world travel and tourism courses.
• Share your firsthand experience working with travelers and planning trips.
• Teach students how to research destinations and build professional-quality itineraries.
• Introducing students to selling cruises, tours, hotels, car rentals and more.
• Teach budgeting, trip planning, customer service, organization, and travel logistics.
• Help students understand the role of a professional travel advisor.
• Develop curriculum, projects, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Mentor students and help them develop confidence and practical life skills.
• Help us build and refine our travel education program from the ground up.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Demonstrated professional experience working as a travel agent, travel advisor, or travel consultant.
• Strong knowledge of the travel industry and current travel practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Genuine enthusiasm for teaching and working with students.
• Ability to work full-time, on-site at our Eagle Rock headquarters.
• Bilingual English/Spanish

A teaching background is a plus—but it is not the most important qualification.

We're particularly interested in experienced travel professionals who may have spent years helping clients plan vacations, business trips, cruises, international travel, group travel, luxury travel, or other types of travel and now want to share that knowledge with students.

Compensation package

$70,000 base to start annually, depending on experience and qualifications, with a competitive full-time compensation and benefits package.

Exceptional candidates with extensive travel-industry experience may be considered at a higher level.
